Three Peak Challenge in Memory of Bill Lisgo
The Friends and family of Bill Lisgo who sadly passed away on 25th March are to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge a 24.5 mile walk in his memory on the 30th June.
Bill was the Pipe Major and one of the founding members of the award winning Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band. A team of eight led by his son Martin Lisgo along with Marie Buckley (niece), Cat Mahon (niece), Nicholas Mullans (nephew), Clare Hodgson (niece) and friends Lee Ford, Celine Doyle and Jake Ward will take on the challenge in his memory.
Bill's niece Marie Buckley commented "I am doing this with Bill's friends and family and we aim to raise £2000 for the Marie Curie nurses, who were an invaluable support to Bill and the family, they enabled us to care for him at home which was his wish".
"We are so grateful to Marie Curie Cancer Care, that with their support we were able to carry out Bill’s wishes and we want to help others in similar situations to do this for their loved ones too."
Any amount you can donate will be gratefully received. You can text donate your amount to 70070 using code YBTH53 or follow this justgiving link:
