Mayo Manchester stage 8 gigs in 1 night in Tradfest Trail

A flash mob Mayo Manchester Tradfest Trail around Ballina in Mayo saw the troupe stage eight gigs in one night.

The group started in glorious sunshine at the Twin Trees Hotel where they were greeted by the manager Rachael Moylet and a touring group from Italy. They then stopped off at the Ballina Cathedral before moving on to a performance for the residents of Sonas Riverview Nursing Home. Next stop was Bar Square followed by a visit to the Broken Jug. Whilst performing in the Broken Jug they were joined on stage by a group of tourists from New York City who joined them in a performance of Danny Boy.

As they were leaving the Broken Jug they stopped off for an impromptu performance with Adrian OHara of Atlantic Taxis.

Tony Hennigan from Mayo Manchester commented "Its not every day you perform in a Taxi, but how could I refuse my good friend Adrian OHare? It was a great night, we really enjoyed our visit to the Sonas Nursing Home, the residents had made us big banners to welcome us and it was a very moving experience. It was a bit liked the Pied Piper the crowds seemed to follow us all over Ballina. The performers were shattered at the end of it, but really enjoyed it."

The last two stops were to the Auld Sheeben and Katie's Corner, they were joined by a coach load of Visitors from Italy who filled every corner of the venue.
