Mayo beat Kerry in All Ireland Semi Final Replay

Mayo beat Kerry by five points in their Semi-Final Replay in Croke Park on Saturday 26 August 2017. Despite this being Mayo's 9th Championship game the Mayo fans took over the Dublin stadium in this clash of the Titans of GAA teams. With barely a site of a Kerry fan inside and outside of the stadium the atmosphere and support for Mayo was overwhelming and certainly gave Mayo the 16th man to go out and win the semi final in style.

The first semi final was full of energy and spirit and the replay had all this and more, but it was Mayo who were the team to catch and Kerry were overwhelmed by Mayo with 2 killer goals that put the game to bed and the final score saw Mayo beating the All Ireland winning County in a decisive manner.

Tony Hennigan from Mayo Manchester who was one of the lucky Mayo GAA fans to secure a ticket for the game commented "I knew the support for Mayo was strong in the West but I could not believe the amount of support throughout the Country and around the world. It seemed it was not just Dublin that had turned Green and Red but the entire world. It was very disappointing to see such a poor turn out for Kerry, the fans seem to have forgot about all the Ireland Finals their team has won. Mayo seemed to have gotten stronger in every game of this All Ireland Championship run and we cannot wait for the final again on Sunday 17 September, all I need know is a ticket!
