Mayo Manchester Tradfest Westport 250 Gala Concert

The award winning Trad band 'Flatout' will be joining forces with Mayo Manchester to stage a special Gala concert sponsored by Rosgal Civil Engineering, Manchester. The special event will celebrate Westport's 250th anniversary as part of this years 2017 MMTradfest in Westport Town Hall Theatre on Monday 7 August. The band will be joined by the Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, Joe Keegan from the TV show the Voice and dancers from the Keegan Academy of Irish Dance along with special guests.

Flat Out are a young, energetic band from Ballina, County Mayo in the West of Ireland. The group comprises of cousins Ciara O’Donnell and Mark O’Donnell, plus friends, Brid O’Donnell and Harry Lawlor. They formed in 2013 and have gained great momentum since then. Winners of the 2014 ‘Le Crunch Apple of my Eye’ competition in association with Today FM, this has allowed them to perform in many great venues around Ireland and abroad. In addition to touring around Ireland, Flat Out have performed across the UK, Europe, America and quite recently Malawi, Africa. Coming from a traditional Irish music background, all members perform lead and backing vocals depending on the song and between them play guitar, fiddle, accordion, harp, bodhran, flute and tin whistle. Joe Keegan is an Irish Singer, musician and dancer who shot to fame on the BBC TV Show The Voice, he is currently studying music at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music and captains the Universities Irish Dancing team.
